I live and work in Boulder, Colorado. As of Autumn of 2007, I am engaged at Fairview High School helping to teach astrophysics to an IB/AP Physics II class. In the Spring of 2008 I will recieve an MA in secondary education from the University of Colorado.

My interests include offroad driving & camping, teaching, climbing and hiking, photography, scooters, both vintage and new, amateur electronics design, and spicy food. I am obsessed with the "Battlestar Galactica" series (and pissed off about having to wait for ScFi Channel to play season 4 until frakking April of 2008) and anything by Joss Whedon. And my cat. Not necessarily in that order.

I am socially progressive, financially conservative, and prone to use scientific methods of analysis to analyze political and policy problems. I am a dyed-in-the-wool leftie who happens to own a few guns and thinks that the inheritance and capital gains taxes should go away.

I am a (very) part-owner of a small-but-famous business of which I am very proud.

Other interesting notes:
I make a variety of really good chilis, and also loathe cleaning floors, of any sort. I cannot juggle, but can read 20 books at once, and not forget what's going on in any of them. There are more books in my house than anything else except for bacteria and old, dead pices of electronics. I also would really not mind having a prehensile tail, and/or gills. And maybe a neural 'net interface.
